The data presented in the table below consist of the violent crime and forcible rape statistics in Arizona for 2003 and 2004. The table includes data of national totals and state and city totals (cities with populations of 10,000 and over) for Arizona. The Uniform Crime Reporting Program defines violent crime as four offenses: murder and nonnegligent manslaughter, forcible rape, robbery, and assault. Forcible rape is defined as the carnal knowledge of a female forcibly and against her will and includes assaults or attempts to commit rape by force or threat of force. Statutory rape (without force) and other sex offenses are not included in the data report.
